When can I apply for the AGS Scholarship?

You can apply for scholarships during the Spring semester. More details will be provided once we get closer to the date.

I almost have a 3.0, can I still be part of AGS?"

Unfortunately, no. We require a minimum GPA of 3.0. But we encourage you to apply next semester!

Question 5

I'm an international student, can I be part of AGS?"

Accepted Answer

Yes! International students are allowed to join Alpha Gamma Sigma.

Question 6

I don't have 12 units from GCC, but I have units from another community college. Can I apply for AGS?"

Accepted Answer

We require unofficial transcripts from both colleges to calculate cumulative GPA and determine if an applicant can be an AGS member.

Is AGS a sorority/fraternity?

No, we are not a sorority or fraternity. We are a Co-Ed honor society club on campus.

Do I have to attend every event?

No, you do not need to attend every event, but it is highly encouraged! Not only do you get to meet and spend time with other members and have fun, but you also get points that go toward your membership requirements.
